In the wake of the relentless rainfall and widespread flooding that has gripped several communities across Trinidad and Tobago — including St. Helena, Penal, Sangre Grande, Malabar, Arima, Cunupia, Caroni, Couva, and San Juan — Prestige Holdings Limited (PHL), the parent company of KFC and Subway, has joined hands with Sewa TT to bring immediate relief to those affected.
From meal donations to volunteerism, the effort is both personal and purposeful.

Simon Hardy, CEO of Prestige Holdings Limited, shared: “We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the floods, and our hearts go out to the families affected. We are working closely with Sewa TT to determine the extent of damage, the number of families affected and the severity of the damage. We are cognisant of the need to support the vulnerable communities that have been affected.

Subway Trinidad, continuing its tradition of giving, has already contributed over 400 sandwiches this week.

Johann Mendoza, Vice President of Subway, noted: “Subway has supported Sewa TT flood relief efforts since 2018 by donating sandwiches. So far this week we have donated over 400 sandwiches, and we are facilitating donation efforts where the public can make donations at any of the 41 Subway Restaurants nationwide, from as low as $20.00 per sub.”

KFC, through its Harvest Program — a food recovery and redistribution initiative — has also mobilized swiftly, donating over 500 hot meals in just 72 hours. Through the Harvest Program over 530K meals were donated as we supported the communities with in the past 2 years. This effort was made possible through the unwavering support of KFC’s team members who volunteered their time to ensure meals reached families in hard-hit areas.

Roger Rambharose, Vice President of KFC, stated: “In moments like these, community is everything. Our Harvest Program, supported by dedicated team volunteers, enabled us to provide meals to those who needed it most. We will continue to support as required in the coming days.”

PHL remains committed to serving our communities and those who need it most – service through purpose.
