Established in 1973 when business partners of Jaycees incorporated Prestige Holdings Limited (PHL), its first major acquisition was the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise. The first KFC restaurant was opened in 1973 in St James and there are now fifty five restaurants across Trinidad and Tobago.

In 1994, PHL acquired the Pizza Hut franchise, the household name for the world’s best pizza! With 7 restaurants across Trinidad & Tobago, Pizza Hut remains steadfast to celebrating and enjoying your life’s greatest moments for sharing.

In 2000, TGI Fridays™ was acquired having first opened in Trinidad in Port-of-Spain in 1999. Soon after acquiring the brand, PHL began the expansion of the TGI Fridays™ brand with the opening of Price Plaza in 2001, and Gulf City in 2004. Since then TGI Fridays™ stands committed to delivering great food and service and an authentic “IN HERE IT’S ALWAYS FRIDAY”® experience to every guest.

At PHL, our vision remains, “To be in the hearts and minds of our customers for every eating experience” and we continued to live this Vision , when we added the Subway® brand to our portfolio in 2011. We acquired the brand with 40 stores and , to date, we have grown to a store count of 46 Subway units. With the addition of the Subway® restaurants, Prestige Holdings Limited became the largest restaurant management company in Trinidad and Tobago and the English speaking Caribbean.
